The First Gap!

Jed has always been telling me that soon Emma would lose her tooth and look funny. Sure enough when I helped her brush her teeth on Thursday I saw her other teeth coming in! And she has not lost a single tooth. I resolved to help her wiggle them but no need because her front tooth became really loose on Friday. It was hanging by just a bit of tissue. But it still would not come out. I thought for sure she would lose is at school or swallow it so I began wiggling it in evenings and Jed brought home his tools to help. We wiggled it out tonight. So the tooth fairy is coming to our house! and we still need to wiggle the other two especially because the new teeth are coming in right behind them. Poor Emma. We did go to a birthday party on Saturday and all her friends were toothless - now she can join them!

My front teeth grew in in front of my others and the dentist had to pull the babies!

That is our fear too. Her lower teeth and upper teeth are all coming in with her baby teeth still there! Well, since Jed is a dental student I could care less if we wiggle them out instead of have a regular dentist traumatize her and pull them. So we will be wiggling till they all come out. She wants this barbie computer game that is 40 bucks anyway. She has saved 20 so that will add up nicely for her if we pay her 5 dollars a tooth. Is that too cheap?

That picture is priceless. It is nice to have the dentist live at your house.
