We have been up to a lot and yet it seems so little. Gardening, band lessons, softball coaching, youth activities. It all adds up.
Summer bucket list from the kids - play at the McDonald's play area. Check! (thank goodness their list is so easy)
Mommy bucket list - help out with Jersey Street Festival. and while there, have fun. Here we went to a Maker Playce station. Its a DIY movement thing in Wisconsin. The kids got to take apart toys to see what inside.
And build mini bristle bots. Robots with a motor and a toothbrush head so they drove around. They were so much fun!
Then off to Nauvoo. Remember Ashton's cold from a few weeks ago? Well, it turned into pneumonia. and we were going to go on a road trip to Texas, but then decided to stay closer in Nauvoo while he got better. Antibiotics are amazing. Jed had to work late every night anyway.
So we went to see Jim and Bev in the Sunset show. Kids liked making paper hats.
Marching in the opening children's parade. Jake refuses to do anything of course.
Watching Jim and Bev in the show.
The next few days we hung out with them whenever they had a free moment, or saw them in their tours. Rode oxen with grandma
Carriage ride with Grandpa.
Played pioneer games at the games site.
Ate waffles at the waffle house
Played some more at the game site because it was so much fun.
Block are always cool.
Emma helped with a show.
And tried to steal grandma's bonnets whenever she could. Gosh, we are just going to miss them when they are done! Then they won't be so close.
