Building legos - Jake especially loves to scatter them, oh I mean help
Ashton had his school program. He was a shark in the 5 little fish song.
My focus is off, but he spent the whole time hiding his face till the end. So shy!

Elder Smith and Elder Puida. Who knew we would get to know them so well? Our kids loved playing with them and we will miss them now that they are no longer in our branch.

Our trip to the Indianapolis museaum of art. I was very brave and took them to a real museum with paintings and sculptures and the whole bit.

A whole floor that is supported by tons of plastic people. Jakey liked looking at them and Emma liked jumping on the floor.
Outside was a true english garden near a restored older home.
The grounds nearby had interesting outdoor exhibits. Weird shaped benches in this one.

Then to the children's museum. Which was really nice!
Jakey loved the dinosaurs area.
They had tables with toy dinosaurs to play with.
One of the many skeletons was the newly discovered Dracorex hogwartsia, so named after the Harry Potter movies because it had really cool horns.
The museum had history displays with terra cotta warriors
and a puzzle where you had to rebuild cleopatra's sarcophogus cover (spelling is wrong)
They had lots of areas to dig, all kids love that.
Then they had a show where a car transforms into Bumblebee.
It was a lame transformation but a super cool costume frankly.

Upstairs they had more dinosaur stuff and a place to draw your own dinosaur. I loved each kids drawing.
Emma was in soccer for a few months. She loved it and got pretty good at kicking. Still a little scared to get into the mix though.
Ashton would wrap up in a blanket and Jakey would peak at him.
Emma had her school concert - Its a Jungle Out There. She is in the back and has her face decorated like a hyena.

Jakey had his second birthday. Look at how excited he is to see a cake.

Opening gifts was also so fun. I love how he smiled at everything.

The person who really liked it was Ashton who went over and over down the hill.
Jake liked splashing and running around
Jakey asleep last sunday. He was trying to get down and just was too tired to do it.
Camping outside our house. Jed works most Saturdays so this is a good solution. It was fun, reminded me why I like my mattress so much, and since the tent sloped downhill we all slid into Emma at the bottom. I should have took a picture of that.
See, we do live out in the middle of nowhere.
So far that has been our summer fun.
