On July 13th, Emma's girls scout troop decided to have a retreat in the Wisconsin Dells. We spent the night at a really nice water-park, enjoyed swimming. Then got up and went to an Animal Park.
Right outside is a candy shop, double the price on any candy, but had cute wooden carousel horses outside. Emma and Mary.
Since we were girl scouts, we got the scout tour package. Pretty sweet! They started with a cup of sliced carrots for each of us and a train ride.
The train went through animal enclosures and to our surprise, it just stopped in the middle of one. Then the animals came right up to us. The announcer said to feed them carrots and we did. The one above is pretty cute and some you could pet.
This big guy came next and you could not pet him. He was huge up close! I fed him next after this.
Then the train dropped us off at the camel and giraffe feeding station. They were a lot of fun to feed. The camel was very friendly. Emma wasn't too scared.
Giraffes are really funny to watch eat. They stick out their tongue, wrap it around the food, and then pull it into their mouth.
After that we went to see pig races, and saw the nursery buildings. Lots of baby animals. And our tour guide took them out for us to feed and pet.
Baby chickens
a Baby zebra. He was so fluffy! like a stuffed animal, and so soft.
After many other animal shows, and goat feedings, we ran out of carrots and were done.
The trip ended with ice cream at the little shop. It was really cute inside too.
And Emma's softball team. This was taken at their last game before the tournament. Emma is on the middle row on the right end.
Coaches and the team.
Funny photo - luv Emma's zombie pose
